10th RevUP Workshops
This year’s convention will
include a one-day RevUP (Review and UPdate) workshop on 2 December. This is a program series on continuing education in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology tailored for bioscience teachers.
Each RevUP has up-to-date lectures from scientists-researchers, hands-on pen and paper exercises, and computer-based exercises. Every participant is provided a kit containing up-to date teaching materials and a CD, loaded with animation files – an excellent set of teaching aids.
PSBMB has conducted 9 RevUP workshops in 7 cities of Luzon and Visayas and twice at NCR since 2004. The 10th RevUP at CMU will be the first workshop in Mindanao.

Transportation to Convention Site
Coming from Luzon
The best way to get to Central Mindanao University is to fly to Cagayan
de Oro Airport. Get a taxi and drive to the Agora Bus Terminal and board
a RURAL bus bound for Davao City. Be sure to ask the driver if the bus is
going to pass by Maramag, Bukidnon. CMU is about three (3) hours away
and you’ll be passing the cities of Malaybalay and Valencia. Just ask the
conductor to drop you off at CMU. Fare is around PhP 200.00, one-way.
Coming from Mindanao
CMU can be reached by different bus companies plying the Cagayan de
Oro to Davao City route. Buses from Tacurong City to Cagayan de Oro, from
Cotabato City to Cagayan de Oro and from Davao to Cagayan de Oro passes
through the CMU campus. Buses depart every 15-30 minutes.
Coming from the Visayas
If coming from the Visayas, one can opt to go to Cebu or Manila then fly to
Cagayan de Oro City. Another option is to board either Negros Navigation
or SuperFerry vessels that go to Cagayan de Oro. Upon reaching Cagayan de
Oro, follow the instructions above.
