ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

POSTER PRESENTATION
The PSBMB invites all researchers to present their research in the areas of Agri-fisheries, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Environment and Biodiversity, and Health and Wellness. Interested participants are invited to email their abstract to psbmb.paper@gmail.com.  The deadline for submission of abstracts is EXTENDED to  OCTOBER 29, 2020. 

All submitted abstracts will be screened by the Scientific Papers Committee.  Letters for acceptance will be provided before NOVEMBER 8, 2020.  Authors of accepted abstracts are requested to register online on or before NOVEMBER 15, 2020 for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings.

This year, the PSBMB Conference proceedings will be published as part of the Philippine Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (www.psbmb.org).  Authors of accepted abstracts are requested to confirm their willingness to take part in this publication. 

YOUNG SCIENTISTS' FORUM
The Young Scientists' Forum (YSF) was established in 1995 as a competition for undergraduate research projects. This is to encourage undergraduate students to actively pursue their research interests in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. Extended abstracts must contain new data that has not been presented elsewhere.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. Please indicate if your abstract should be considered for either POSTER or YSF Presentation.
  2. Abstracts must be written in MS Word (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) in English on an A4 size template with 1" margins on all sides.
  3. The text should be in 11 point Arial font, single-spaced, and justified paragraphs; Please put a double-space between paragraphs.
  4. The TITLE OF THE PAPER must be in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS, and centered.
  5. Author(s) name(s) must be centered with one-line space from the title. The PRESENTER'S NAME must be underlined.
  6. Author(s)' affiliation is centered and one-line space from the names of the author(s); if more than one authors, use 1,2 superscripts to indicate affiliation.
  7. The abstract should contain an introduction, objectives, major findings and conclusion/implication.
  8. For poster presentations, abstracts must have a maximum of 300 words, including keywords.
  9. For YSF, an extended abstract must have a maximum of 1000 words, maximum of 3 figures and/or tables, and maximum of 5 references.
