PSBMB Membership

Membership Guidelines

​Membership to the Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is classified into Regular, Associate, Student, Lifetime, Honorary and Corporate. PSBMB has over 2000 members as of January 2022. Any professional who has at least a BS degree major in Biochemistry or allied disciplines, any bona fide student of a recognized institution who has completed at least five (5) units of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, or any company, institution, corporation or partnership which is in capacity to support the objectives of the Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Inc. can qualify for membership.

​New Members applying for Regular, Associate and Student Membership to the society are required a onetime admission fee payment of a total of Php 800.00. The Annual membership fee for Regular, Associate and Student Membership is valid within the fiscal year of the organization. Annual dues made within the year is payment for your membership from January 1 to December 31 of the same year.

How to be a Member

  1. ​You must be a qualified professional (including graduate students) or student (undergraduate). 

  2. Complete your payment and upload proof of payment & recommendation Form in the application form.

  3. Fill up and complete the online application form.

  4. Once approved, you will receive an email to log in to your member's profile and the schedule of your oath-taking.

  5. You will receive your Certificate of Membership after your oath-taking via email.

  6. Enjoy the conference discounts, perks, and privileges as a PSBMB Member.

APPLICATION NOTES
1. Those who do not know anyone from PSBMB to sign the recommendation form, please upload your proof of payment instead of the recommendation form. The membership committee will process the recommendation on your behalf.

Regular

Anyone who has at least a BS degree major in Biochemistry or allied disciplines and who is active in teaching and/or research in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in a recognized institution
