PSBMB Annual Conventions

The Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a society committed to upgrade knowledge in biochemistry by encouraging research and education and by establishing communication and exchange of professional knowledge among members as well as with other biochemists abroad, and establish means by which biochemistry could be utilized for the improvement of the socio-economic and health conditions of the country.

Since its establishment in 1973, Annual Conventions has been a venue of exchanging knowledge between individuals and institutions discussing about laboratory techniques, teaching techniques and aids, applications of biochemistry, and molecular biology in different parts of the country.

Among the highlights of the annual conventions are the plenary and parallel sessions by renowned researchers and academicians presenting the latest findings of their research in the areas of Agri-fisheries, Molecular Systematics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Environment and Biodiversity, Health and Wellness, Bioentrepreneurship and Biochemical Education. The convention also features the Clara Lim-Sylianco (CLS) Lecture and a competition for undergraduate research projects, the Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF). The conventions are great venues for researchers, faculty, aspiring young scientists and students to meet, discuss and build collaborations with the experts which will broaden and deepen our current knowledge on the advances in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
